Arashi Aftermath

For two months now I have been in this journey as an Arashi fan. It's definitely not much compared to those who have been in the fandom for 10 or more years. But since then, my life has never been the same because of this five-men group. 

Here, I want to share how ARASHI influenced me in so many ways:

•  I look forward to each and everyday knowing that I'll wake up in a world where there is Arashi. They may be going on hiatus at the end of this year but knowing that they exist and doing what they have decided to do with their lives makes me want to look forward to the days of my life as well. *cue in A day in Our Life*


• They made me realize that it is possible to remain friends despite individual differences as long as you have one goal. What they wanted to achieve when they debuted in 1999 was to be on top. Fast-forward to twenty years and their dream came true; not without hardships of course but they endured until they arrive to where they are now. One key ingredient to their success I think is their mutual love and respect for each other. That's why after twenty years still they sing A-RA-SHI (for dream) *cue in A-RA-SHI*

• You can excel in any field you choose but keep in your heart where you really belong. For Arashi, it will always be the group they would come home to. I couldn't forget the time when Nino went to Hollywood for his movie, Letters from Iwo Jima and introduced himself to the reporters as an "idol" in Japan and not an actor. He knew in his heart that he is Arashi and will always come back to Ohno, Sho, Aiba, and Jun. *cue in 5x20*

• Never forget the people who helped you get to where you want to be. Arashi puts their fans first before anything else. They know that without the support of their fans, the heights they had reached would be almost impossible to climb. So they give back, going through the lengths of what a lover must do to keep the affection of the person they love. Even during these unprecedented times they still find ways to engage with their fans, even filming kamishibai to entertain us who were forced to stay at home. *cue in Kansha Kangeki Ame Arashi


• It's never too late to start a new dream. A career spanning twenty years and yet Arashi still dared to take on a new challenge- going international. This proves that no one can ever tell you it's too late. As long as the heart and will are strong and steadfast, shoot for the stars. *cue in Turning Up*

• Days have become much sweeter since I've known their voices. Their songs can magically turn my sour mood into an oh so sweet one. I don't even have to understand the lyrics, just listening to them sing from the heart is enough for me to know that they are special. *cue in Love So Sweet*

Loving Arashi isn't something you think about doing. It's what happens when you found out who they are. I still have a lot to learn about them but it won't diminish the fact that I was swept by this STORM.
